Welcome to Cuidich ‘n Righ, a blog for analyzing ideological liberalism and defending a traditionalist and illiberal worldview for society and the state.  There are four main sections of the blog:  blog posts for my thoughts on various topics such as the spirit moves me; essays consisting of longer-form treatments addressing some of the key themes of this blog, typically aiming for a more theoretical and comprehensive level of analysis (I have five planned); book synopses summarizing and commenting on books I’ve read; and resources, which I hope to use to collect various online articles and blog posts that I’ve found useful over the years in articulating a traditionalist or anti-liberal perspective on different subjects.

The website name Cuidich ‘n Righ is Scottish Gaelic for “Help the King”, the motto for the Seaforth Highlanders. ; I am American, not Scottish (though with some Scottish ancestry), but the motto seemed fitting for a blog defending tradition, hierarchy, and authority.
